DAY 01: ARRIVE KATHMANDU, NEPAL

You will be welcomed by one of the officials of our company upon your arrival. He’ll assist your transfer to your Kathmandu lodging. Today there are no scheduled events, so you can rest and get your bearings at the hotel. Further plans and programs about the journey will also be briefed to you by the official.


Day 02 - Fly to Pokhara (910m/2985ft) 25-min then trek to Tikhe Dhunga (1495m/49035ft) Duration: 5 hrs

Pokhara provides beautiful views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, five Annapurna mountains and more. Many Pokhara lakes offer fishing, boating and swimming, the city itself is famous as a lake city. Pokhara is located in the center of Nepal, located in a beautiful natural heritage region. The valley is packed with beautiful vegetation, swift rivers running and transparent, sparkling lakes littered. It is one of Nepal’s major town. To provide a ideal gateway from the cities ‘ chaotic lives. Pokhara is the privileged with one of the world’s most spectacular sceneries. A 140 Km Panorama consisting of majestic peaks of the Himalayas seen close enough to be touched on a clear day. If Kathmandu is Nepal’s culture hub, then the adventure center is Pokhara.

From Pokhara, we will drive through the big village of Lumle to Nayapul (42 km) by car / taxi and hike to Birethanti, a large and prosperous town for about 20 minutes. The route follows Birethanti’s main road, passing through forests of bamboo and past a big waterfall and swimming hole. The route enters Ramghai, beyond a pasture used by pony caravans, where you will have lunch. The path gradually rises up the side of the valley after lunch, approaching Tikhe Dhunga. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included at the guesthouse.

Day 03 - Trek to Ghorepani (2850m/9350ft) Duration: 7 hrs

The road passes a stream from Tikhe Dhunga on a suspended bridge close the Tikhe Dhunga camp site. The trail ascends to the large Magar village of Ulleri at 2080 m a high stone staircase (which has about 3300 steps). The path rises softly across pastures and cultivated areas above the village.

 

There’s a rest and water campsite over Ulleri after an hour’s hike. The route runs through two glittering streams before climbing to Nangethanti for a short final climb where we halt for lunch. Thanti is a Nepali term that means “place of rest.” The path can be filled with snow during the winter. We will climb from Nangethanti to Ghorepani at 2850 m, from here we can see the spectacular panorama of Dhaulagiri I (8167 m), Tukuche Nilgiri (6940 m), Annapurna I (8091 m), Hiunchuli (6441 m) and Tarke Kang (7193 m). Breakfast, lunch and dinner included at the guesthouse.

Day 04 - Hiking -Poonhill (3210m/10528ft), trek to Tadapani (2500m/8200ft) Duration: 6 hrs

We’re going to get up soon this morning and trek to Poon Hill. From here you’ll see a beautiful sunrise view and a panoramic Himalayan scenery including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fishtail, and others. We will return to Ghorepani after touring Poonhill, have a warm breakfast, and proceed to walk to Tadapani. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included at the guesthouse.

Day 05 - Tadapani to Sinuwa (2310m/7575ft) Duration: 6 hrs

The trail provides excellent views of the upper Modi valley from Tadapani Gurjung. The route then begins the long climb raised above the Modi Khola’s western bank. We visit the Chhomrong village nestled at Himal Chuli’s very foundation. The trail goes down from Chhomrong to Chhomrong Khola and then the route starts a slow ascent as we move for the day to our destination. Guesthouse overnight, including breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 06 - Sinuwa to Deurali (3150m/10330ft) Duration: 6 hrs

We walk about 2 1/2 to 3 hours to Kuldi Ghar. There is a clearing in the forest a little further on, from there the path runs very steeply down a rock bank and then leveling out, passing through bamboo thickets at the edge of the gorge, always keeping on the  west side of the river. We run by Tomo’s pasture and then the gorge’s very neck at Barah pantheon, where a tiny path and a shrine are located. The trail goes up to the Himalayas. Guesthouse overnight, including breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 07 - Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4210m/13810ft) Duration: 5 hrs

Today we drive near the base base camp of Machhapuchhre (which is not really a base camp since it is not allowed to enter the mountain) to the base camp of Annapurna. This region is called the Sanctuary of Annapurna because it is completely enclosed by mountains. From here, there is a two-hour walk to the base camp of Annapurna, offering amazing views. Guesthouse overnight, including breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 08 - ABC to Bamboo (2310m/7575ft) Duration: 7 hrs

Today we follow the same trail down to the bank of Modi Khola to Bamboo at 2,345 m where there are a few teahouse / lodges accessible to stay at. Guesthouse overnight, including breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 09 - Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (hot spring) (1780m/5840ft) Duration: 6 hrs

Today, up to Chhomrong, we take the same route. There is an experimental sheep farm once we have crossed Khuldighar, the path remains through areas of rhododendron and bamboo. The path descends very steeply from Chhomrong to the hot spring of Jhinu, where you can swim in natural hot springs. Guesthouse overnight, including breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 10 - Jhinu Danda to Kathmandu (1370m/4495ft) Duration: 2 hrs walk, 2 hrs drive and 25-min flight

From the hot springs of Jhinu, we walk to Matque / Siwai on the right side of Modi Khola, then ride to Pokhara and catch the latest flight to Kathmandu. Hotel overnight, including breakfast and dinner.

Day 11 – Farewell

You will be transported to the airport three hours before your scheduled flight by one of the officials from our company, from where you will leave with lovely travel experiences.
