DAY 01: ARRIVE KATHMANDU, NEPAL

At any moment you may rrive at the airport in Kathmandu. Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and the Kathmandu Valley. It is one of the nation’s political and economic centres, containing three main ancient towns of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. Day 02 - Kathmandu Valley Tour – Nagarkot

Today you will travel through the Kathmandu Valley, beginning with Pashupatinath’s Sacred Hindu Temple. This is devoted to Lord Pashupatinath as one of the most sacred temples. The site of the cremation event of the Hindu people from Kathmandu stands next to Holy Bagmati River. In the surrounding temple in vibrant yellow and  red attires and decorated faces you can witness many sadhus. Since 1979, the temple building has been on the roster of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Then we will take the trip of another of the holy buddhist temples in the Kathmandu Valley, the Bouddhanath Stupa. With its huge Stupa, this is the site for pilgrimages for every devout Buddhist. The dome of the shrine is regarded the biggest in the globe and Bouddhanath has a very peaceful atmosphere. You will be transferred to Patan after these two places have been visited.

The town of glory, also recognized as Lalitpur, is divided only by the Bagmati River from Kathmandu. It is the valley’s second-largest town. Due to its substantial artistic masterpieces Lalitpur is segregated from other towns. Durbar Square Patan’s Central is also adorned by many lovely temples. The Tibetan refugee centre, which houses most of the Tibetan population of this valley, is also in the town.

 

The Swayambhunath Stupa-another major UNESCO World Heritage Site-is then visited. The Swayambhunath Stupa golden spire of the 5th century is decorated in color with prayer flags, it covers the mountain facing the Kathmandu Valley and provides great views of the town of Kathmandu. One of the most recognizable symbols in Nepal is Swayambhunath, with Buddha’s colored eyes watching everybody climb the stone steps.

You will drive to  Nagarkot later. We will also stop for a visit of Bhaktapur on the way to Nagarkot at 17 kilometres. Most perhaps, of the towns in the Kathmandu Valley, which have a separate medieval environment, Bhaktapur is like an accessible artistic museum displayed on the streets. Here are still traditional pottery and weaving industries. There are plenty of architectural wonders ; you can see the old town’s Fifty Five Windows Palace, the Golden Gate and the splendid Nyatapola Temple, which is five-story pagodas. Then we will go to Nagarkot

Nagarkot is a ideal getaway spot near Kathmandu, located 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu, at an elevation of 2175 metres. From here you can see a panorama of the main peaks, including Mount Everest. This location is also known for its popular view tower from sunrise and sunset.

Day 03 - Nagarkot / Kathmandu / Pokhara (236 KMS)

Today, as we travel to the famous city, we will have a beautiful ride to Pokhara reaching Kathmandu on the periphery. Pokhara is 236 km from Nagarkot and is about a 7-hour drive away. There are beautiful views right from the hotel from Pokhara town (2,352 feet) in excellent weather. Along the way, we’re also going to visit the Temple of Manakamana, a temple dedicated to “The Goddess of wishes fulfilment.” The cable car ride is quite exciting as it passes over the Manakamana hill’s laden land and you get incredible views of the beautiful fields below.

Day 04 - Tours in Pokhara

You are going to go on a journey to Sarangkot this afternoon. From where you can experience the excellent scenery of the Pokhara Valley and the beautiful sight of the mountains, Sarangkot is the best place of view for a sunrise. Paragliding from Sarangkot can also be performed. We can see Dhaulagiri Himal from Sarangkot in the northern direction, and the Annapurna area is also noticeable when the weather on the same side is clear. The village overlooks the town of Pokhara and its lake on the northwestern periphery of the town in the southern direction.

You’ll visit the Bindebasini Temple in the afternoon. This is one of Pokhara’s oldest temples ;  Goddess Durga’s the main deity of the temple was brought from India. Besides the peace and quiet that can be found in this region, on a clear day, the temple grounds offer a nice view of the Himalayas. The temple is in the bazaar region, so an old bazaar tour can be combined with a temple tour. Then the sightseeing proceeds to Devi’s Fall, also recognized as Patale Chango- a stunning waterfall located 2 km southwest of Pokhara.

Day 05 - Pokhara / Chitwan

You’ll have a drive to Chitwan from Pokhara. Chitwan is 180 kilometers from Pokhara, a 4-5 hour ride away. Chitwan is one of Asia’s leading reserves of wildlife. Its 360 square kilometers of large grasslands and forests are host to a broad range of mammals and birds, including several endangered species. Chitwan’s journey is also quite intriguing and beautifully rich with serene forests. Chitwan National Park is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site of Nature.

Day 06 - Full day Chitwan Jungle Tours

Today, at Chitwan National Park, you’ll experience jungle exploration — the highlight being the jungle’s Elephant Safari or jeep ride. Canoeing, Dugout canoeing, Nature Walk and Bird Watching are other activities. You will also encounter wandering with naturalists through the woods and watching the Terai’s Native folk arts.

Day 07 - Chitwan / Kathmandu

You’re going to bid farewell to the jungles and animals as you’re going back to Kathmandu today. You will be transmitted to the hotel upon arrival in Kathmandu.

Day 08 - Departure

You will be transported to the airport three hours before your scheduled flight by one of the officials from our company, from where you will leave with lovely travel experiences.
