About Tamang Heritage trek
The Tamang Heritage Trail is an outstanding cultural tour in the Langtang region of Nepal, enjoying beautiful mountain views. You will explore the idiosyncratic traditions and cultures of the people of Tamang and observe their day-to-day lives in the remote Langtang region. During the trekking trip you would pass many elegant settlements and villages such as Gatlang, Goljung, Chilime, Thuman, Timure and Briddim. It offers you a great chance to learn about the distinctive customs of the people and to learn about these ethnic groups. The people in those villages remain persistent in their cultures and traditions ; the many monasteries, gumbas, chaityas and Bihars that line the hiking route reflect their distinctive rituals and customs. Houses in the villages are beautifully ornamented with complex sculptures ; people weave baskets and showcase a large range of crafts. In the evening the individuals tend to sing folk songs and dress in traditional purification with distinct dialects. All of the villages are wonderful and reflect a lovely quintessential. Since the trekking route is a new path, the cultures and customs of the individuals have remained true to their roots.
You would be provided with a pleasant experience while walking along the Tamang Heritage Trail. An image of the lovely, scenic paradise is provided by the colourful vibrant cloths and the people’s traditional dresses, the complexly adorned homes, the intriguing workmanship and the magnificent mountain views. The Tibetan Buddhist culture in the region represents a rendezvous with the monasteries along the way. As you walk along the exquisitely decorated monasteries and gumbas, you are also blessed with sights from lovely natural surroundings decorated with the fragrance of rhododendron.
The route of the Tamang Heritage Trail offers you the opportunity to tour through the countryside of cerulean lakes such as Kunda, Kunda and Kunda, which reflect the shimmer of the sun in their crystal waters. You would cross the beguiling quiddities of Langtang with majestic mountain views such as the Jugal and Ganesh Himal peaks. The soul enjoys the pleasurable and untouched atmosphere of the Tamang Heritage Trail.

DAY 01: ARRIVE KATHMANDU, NEPAL
You will be welcomed at the airport and further briefed about the trip by our representative. No activities are scheduled for the day, so that you can check in at the hotel. Enjoy your stay at the hotel during the night.
Day 02 - Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi (1462m/4795ft) Duration: 7 hrs
A sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley’s World Heritage sites, including Kathmandu Durbar Square, the Swayambhunath Shrine, Bouddhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple, is also available for clients. Breakfast included at the hotel overnight.
Day 03 - Drive to Syabru Bensi (1462m/4795ft) Duration: 7 hrs
Our drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi will approximately take 7 hours by bus..
To the north you move from Kathmandu to the picturesque foothills of Dhunche and to the ridgeline views of Syabru Besi. You can see Ganesh Himal, terraces and green hills while passing the highway along the river banks of Trisuli River. You feel as if you are going to deep land while passing through Dhunche. You realize at the same moment that the highway is still being built. Guesthouse stay overnight, breakfast included, lunch and dinner included. Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi which takes about seven by bus. To the north you move from Kathmandu to the picturesque foothills of Dhunche and to the ridgeline views of Syabru Besi. You can see Ganesh Himal, terraces and green hills while passing the highway along the river banks of Trisuli River. You feel as if you are going to deep land while passing through Dhunche. You realize at the same moment that the highway is still being built.
Guesthouse stay overnight, breakfast included, lunch and dinner included.
Day 04 - Syabru Bensi- Gatlang (2238m/7340ft) 5 hrs
On your journey you can observe the various traditional villages. Your trekking trip will certainly become unforgettable with Goljung and Gatlang’s cultural exhibit. Gatlang is a Tamang settlement, laid on a mountain between terraced fields. You can visit a monastery and the lovely Gatlang lake in Parvathi Kunda. Lunch and dinner included overnight at the community lodge.
Day 05 - Gatlang - Tatopani (2607m/8550ft) Duration: 5-6
On the way, views of the Langtang Range and Ganesh Himal are to be enjoyed. You can have a warm bath in the natural hot springs and bath spaces on the lap of the mountains, owing to the experience of Tamang culture on Tatopani, which translates to hot water. Thuman, another cultural village is famous for its Shamanic shows and lovely views of Langtang. From Nagthali you can clearly experience the panorama of Langtang, Kerung, Ganesh Himal and the Sanjen. Nagthali once was a well-known ‘monks ‘ and priests ‘ center for meditation. Lunch and dinner included at the community lodge, breakfast.
Day 06 - Thuman -Timur (1762m/5780ft) Duration: 5 hrs
Timure is an ancient trading route to Tibet. A fort here is a historical reminder of Nepal’s many decades of Tibetan relations. Lunch, lunch and dinner included in the evening in the community lodge.
Day 07 - Timur –Briddim (2337m/7665ft) Duration: 6 hrs
Briddim, a Buddhist Tibetan village on the Langtang Himal bosom. There are approximately 43 houses in Z shape. Most houses built of stones and have divided slate roofs. The culture and tradition of the Briddim are closely similar to those of the almost Tibetan villages as a direct descender of ancestral Tibetan immigrants. Lunch and dinner included, overnight, breakfast at the communal lodge.
Day 08 - Briddim - Syabru Bensi (1467m/4795ft) Duration: 5-6 hrs
This day the path winds through villages, terraced farms and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Guest house overnight, including breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 09 - Syabru Bensi to Kathmandu
Today will take about six hours of a picturesque drive back to Kathmandu by jeep. Including hotel overnight, breakfast and dinner.
Day 10 - Farewell
Our representative will drop up at the airport approximately 3 hours before the scheduled
